This article examines the process of determinization of physiological concepts presented in the Quran and their subsequent interpretation in the context of modern medicine. Particular attention is paid to the semantic evolution of common Arabic lexemes used in the Quran to describe the functions of the human body and their transition from indeterminate, polysemantic concepts to relatively fixed physiological and anatomical concepts in scientific discourse.
