Abstract

The article explores the evolution of Pop Art in fashion design from the mid1950s to 2026. The author identifies three waves of the style’s development: the rebellious first wave of the 1960s (Mary Quant, Andy Warhol, Yves Saint Laurent), the more complex second wave of the 1980s–1990s (Versace, Westwood, Lacroix), and the contemporary third wave, where digital printing, artist collaborations, and upcycling merge with Pop Art’s signature irony (Prada, Moschino, Marni). Special attention is paid to the key characteristics of the style and its continuing role as a tool for self-expression and social commentary in modern fashion
